Why Shield

Built for the way you actually live with a computer.

Many big antivirus brands have taught people to expect a price that jumps, a cancel button that hides, scary pop-ups and no one to call. Shield was made as the opposite, by the same local shop that has fixed computers in Port Charlotte for years.

Shield's warning box: This page shows signs commonly used in tech-support scams, with a Close this page button and FastTech's phone number.
A real Shield warning: a clear way out and a local number.

What we promise

The plain promises behind every plan.

  • Your price never goes up at renewal.

The price you sign up at is the price you keep paying, for as long as you stay subscribed.

  • 30 days to change your mind.

Call within 30 days of your first charge and we refund that charge in full. Any plan, no reason required.

  • We never sell or share your browsing data.

Shield checks each page on your own computer. We do not sell, rent or share your information for advertising or with data brokers.

  • A real person, nearby.

Call 941-477-8324 and someone from the shop answers. You can also bring the computer in and we will set Shield up with you.

  • Cancelling is easy.

Cancel by phone, email or in person. There is no cancellation fee.

How Shield feels to use

Calm, quiet and on your side.

  • No fear to sell you something.

Shield shows a warning only when a page shows a real warning sign of a scam. It does not invent alarms to push an upgrade.

  • It warns. You decide.

When a page looks like a scam, Shield warns you and gives you a clear way out. It does not take the choice away from you.

  • Made for grandparents and the people who worry about them.

Big, plain words. No jargon. If something confuses you, call us and ask.

What Shield is not

Shield is not antivirus and does not replace it. It runs alongside Windows Security or the antivirus you already have. It cannot get back money already lost, and no service can promise you will never be targeted. Our plain limits are on the plans page and in our terms.
