The one-sentence version
We store your purchase email and Square customer ID so you can re-download your license key from our portal. We do not track your browsing, your accounts, or anything else.
What the browser extension collects
Nothing that leaves your browser. All scam detection runs locally on the page you’re looking at. The URL of the page, its contents, the sites you visit, your searches, your logins — none of that leaves your device.
The extension does make two outbound network requests, both to shield.fasttechpc.com:
- Every 6 hours, it downloads a signed JSON list of known-bad domains so it can flag them.
- At the same time, it downloads a signed list of revoked license keys.
Neither request contains anything about you. Both are the same for every user.
What we store on our servers
When you buy FNS Shield through Square, our webhook receives the purchase notification and writes one row to our database (Supabase, US region):
- Your email address (the one you used at Square checkout)
- Your Square customer ID and payment ID
- The license key we issued you (a signed JWT)
- Plan (monthly or annual), issue date, expiry date
- Whether it’s been revoked
We use this to (a) email you your license, (b) let you re-download it from the portal, (c) revoke it if you request a refund. Nothing else.
What we DO NOT do
- Send marketing emails without your explicit consent
- Sell, share, or license your data to third parties
- Track your browsing history or the pages you visit
- Watch your bank, email, passwords, or other accounts
- Have any human at FastTech looking at what you do online
Third parties we work with
Square
Handles all payment processing. We never see your card number.
Resend
Sends you the license email and portal login links.
Vercel
Hosts our website and the webhook endpoint.
Supabase
Hosts the database with your purchase record.
Your rights
You can email fnscomputertech@gmail.com at any time to:
- Get a copy of everything we store about you
- Correct it if it’s wrong
- Delete it (this cancels any active license)
We respond within 30 days. Californian and EU residents have additional rights under CCPA and GDPR — we honor those too.
Data breach
If our database is ever breached, we’ll notify affected customers by email within 72 hours of confirming the breach. What’s at risk in that case: your email address and Square customer ID. Not passwords (we don’t store any). Not your extension’s activity (the extension doesn’t send us any).
