What Shield does

What Shield does, and what it does not.

Shield warns you about scam pages and, on Complete plans, about remote-access programs opening on your computer. It is not antivirus. Here is the whole picture in plain words.

What each plan does

A browser is the program you use to go on the internet, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. The browser add-on is the small part of Shield that sits inside it and checks each page.

The limit of one computer, and up to 3 browsers on it, is the rule we sell by. The software that enforces it is still being finished. See the terms for the full wording, and the plans for prices.

What Shield is not

  • It is not antivirus.

It does not replace antivirus. It runs alongside Windows Security or the antivirus you already have.

  • It does not read your email or watch your bank.

It does not scan your email, your bank accounts or your passwords.

  • It cannot get money back.

If money has already been lost to a scam, Shield cannot recover it.

  • It warns. It does not block.

When a page shows warning signs, Shield warns you and gives you a clear way out. The choice stays yours. And no service can promise you will never be targeted.

How well does the warning work?

We tested the browser add-on in October 2026 (results dated October 29, 2026). In our test it warned on every one of 28 scam pages, and on none of 207 everyday websites.

  • The 28 scam pages

These are test pages we built to look like the scams we see at the shop: fake tech-support alerts, fake virus lockers, pages that trick you into running a command, and pages that push a remote-access download. They are our own examples, not every scam on the internet.

  • The 207 everyday websites

We visited 260 popular sites, such as banks, shops and news. 207 loaded, and the other 53 did not, so they are not counted. Shield did not warn on any of the 207.

A test like this is not a promise. New scams appear all the time, so please still call us if something feels wrong: 941-477-8324.
